Why "From the Fields"?

Through doing some research I learned that our last name Blair means field. I appreciated it because although some people might think of the word field and be reminded of a dusty, hot place with no shade, I think of wildflowers, picnics and flying kites. "From the Fields" sounded a little more whimsical than "Blair family Blog" and I think my family is a little whimsical.
